It's dark, empty and lonely

Well -

I knew it was coming- the boring time for me- here I sit, wet, covered with leaves, cold and alone. This "dark bleak" time sucks - no one is out, no one to chat with- nothing! For all of the beautiful colors that fall provides, it's a shame not to be able to share!

The most excitement I've had was on Halloween night when everyone stopped by -- even the firepit was out!! And this past Thursday morning a grey, slightly bedraggled schnauzer showed up and wandered into the garage, briefly much to the excitement of Nick and Sadie! I thought he/she belonged to "grandpa blu-berry", so the proverbial biscuit was offered and accepted -- he was not their pooch but "blu" went to great lengths to get him back to his owners' - yea Mark!

I know the Sundhausen's had a big birthday bash - Eunice turned one and is walking - (they still insist upon calling her Caitlyn!!)

The neighborhood baker is loading my freezer with cookies--I rather enjoy eating dozens of cookies every night for dinner - much tastier then ramen noodles!!

Becki is snapping away at Penney's lots of "holiday" pix, I'm sure!

Turkey day is just around the corner - can't decide how much i want to "cook" - Dierbergs does such an awesome job - and since i only get Thursday off it seems a shame to waste it cooking - when I can be doing Christmas trees and decorating!! Still debating that -

I guess it would be fun to have a "Girls Nite/Day Out" - -- there are lots of holiday open houses,etc coming up - perhaps a little shopping and lunch - chesterfield valley/kirkwood/webster /botanical garden - that might be fun - let me know what you think by email

Driveway Celebration

Well the decision has been made-- we will do some sort of a Driveway 4th on the 5th-- most have obligations to others for the 4th - so the 5th it is!

Suggestions- everyone kick in $20-$25 and we do a fireworks display for all-
and just have desserts- ice cream, frozen treats , etc

any other suggestions, just send an email or put on the blog

New Bikes, Teeth and the 4th of July

Despite the rain and somewhat sticky humid evenings, we've been out in the driveway almost every nite - info learned this week: Todd is still working on his and Mackenzie's super secret secret dance production at her dance class; Madison knees are scab-free; Claire has a bigger bike and she can ride it - took a little attitude adjusting Thursday nite, but by Friday night, she was pedaling up and down and around the circle with Em in hot pursuit on her bigger bike - Lise working hard to keep up on her scooter - Lisa made what she referred to as a flop cake - a little flat, but still tasty. Caitlin is over her ear ache and back to smiles. Both Chloe and Grace have tooth issues - Chloe working on new ones and Gracie's front one refusing to fall out- future blogs may have some "professional" photos someone may soon go "pro"!!

We need to think about who is going to be around for the 4th - and if we should start planning a "driveway" party - I know a few are busy on the the 4th so maybe the 5th would be a good nite - either way I'm sure there will be fireworks! Let me know what you think and what works for you
